What We Offer

K.A. Vallere approach is editorial, focusing on exploring structure, form, and symbolic coherence.

  • K.A. Vallere offers close, considered editorial support for poetry, hybrid writing, essays, and literary prose. Drawing on her experience as a writer, reviewer, critic, and publishing intern, she reads with attention to structure, voice, pacing, imagery, thematic development, and the reader’s experience of the work. Each project begins with a discussion of the manuscript, the writer’s intentions, and the level of support required. Deliverables may include an editorial letter, detailed comments within the manuscript, and a follow-up consultation. Developmental editing focuses on the larger architecture and direction of the work rather than proofreading or correcting grammar alone.

  • K.A. Vallere creates bespoke book trailers that bring together the critical attentiveness of a reviewer, the sensitivity of a poet, and a strong multimedia practice. Each project is approached through close engagement with the text, resulting in a short film that captures not only a book’s subject matter, but also its atmosphere, texture, and emotional register. In collaboration with the client, K.A. Vallere establishes the scope of the project in advance, including the number of deliverables, length, formats, and intended use. Standard deliverables typically include a trailer of up to around two minutes, prepared for Instagram, YouTube, and other social media or promotional platforms as required.

  • K.A. Vallere offers individual workshops and tutoring tailored to the writer’s experience, interests, and creative goals. Sessions may focus on poetry, hybrid forms, close reading, creative experimentation, manuscript development, or the revision of individual pieces. Rather than imposing a single method, she helps writers identify what their work is attempting to achieve and develop the technical and imaginative tools needed to strengthen it. The number and length of sessions, preparatory reading, written feedback, and any additional materials are agreed in advance, allowing the work to range from a single focused consultation to an ongoing programme of creative development.
